Bagel & Bloom

Young entrepreneurs Nina, Famke and Ryan have realized a beautiful all day cafe in the heart of Kralendijk. They have dared to start their own business in uncertain times.

The two sisters and their brother – part of a real entrepreneurial family – got the idea to open a bagel café. The inspiration for this was the fresh bagels during their city trips in Amsterdam and New York. With their combined forces and experience in the hospitality industry and marketing, they started the unique bagel café on Bonaire.

Bagels, burgers and more
The bagel is originally a Polish bread roll that was moved to America by Poles of Jewish descent in the nineteenth century. The Polish migrants left Europe and settled in the US and introduced their beloved bagel there. The bagel has a hole in the middle, because it used to be strung on sticks or ropes by the street vendors.

Bagel & Bloom introduces the classic bagel to Bonaire with a contemporary twist. There are more than fifteen types of Bagels to choose from. Such as the Smoked Salmon, Pulled pork or the well-known Spicy. In addition to bagels, they also serve complete breakfasts, main dishes such as burgers and you will find delicious desserts. Don’t forget the freshly prepared coffee and fruit juices. All dishes are carefully prepared in the open kitchen or behind the bar.

The “Negen Straatjes”
The modern café is located in a stylish new building on Kaya Grandi. This new building is called the Negen Straatjes (Nine Streets). The Negen Straatjes form a new shopping area on the Kaya Grandi. Bagel & Bloom was the first to be opened within this project. The cafe sets the bar high for new entrepreneurs with their 4.8 score on Tripadvisor.

The interior is modern and has a warm and contemporary feel. The interior is beautiful. The wall opposite the bar has a beautiful wallpaper with blue flowers that are everywhere.
