In Maçaroca restaurant we’re delighted to serve you the most authentic Madeira dishes like Bolo Do caco and the famous Espetada, cooked on local charcoal. Absolutely wonderful spot for dinner out on the island. We split a bottle of Portuguese wine, a steak skewer, the lamb tenderloins, along with a house salad and rice. Every bit of it was fantastic, and the service and atmosphere were great.

Scrumptious! Everything is homemade/made to order and a great departure from the good but somewhat repetitive menus on the rest of the island. Have it from an inside source this is the best burger on the island!

My absolute favorite restaurant on the island! We went last year and had such a wonderful experience, I could not wait to come back. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the breeze through the restaurant in the evening is amazing. We love to sit at the bar and have a glass of wine (their wines are fantastic! The Odelouca red from Portugal is outstanding) and then walk down to the end of the road and watch the sunset then return for dinner.The traditional sirloin skewer is divine and so tender and flavorful. They also had a tuna sashimi special that was the best I have ever eaten. The pastel de nata are as good (dare I say better) than the ones we had in Portugal.The staff are kind and attentive and our service was outstanding. The chef chatted with us a bit before he got busy and was a lovely gentleman!I know it is a little out of the way from downtown, but it is worth the drive. If you want over priced pub far then stay by the cruise ship port but if you want a memorable dining experience with food that is unique and flavorful, you should make the drive. Easy make reservations on WhatsApp! Do take a little bug spray just in case, when the breeze dies down the mosquitos may find their way to you but the beautiful setting is worth the risk!Thank you Macaroca for another outstanding visit!

Wonderful restaurant in a beautiful setting up near Oil Slick Leap! Loved the owners (who were the chefs) and the food. Definitely worth the short drive up!

We ate there in September 2025. Food was phenomenal, with outstanding service. The location has a pleasant breeze which makes it very comfortable for outdoor dinning. Highly recommended. Our favorite restaurant in Bonaire.

We dined here last year and had such a wonderful experience, we returned this year. The servers are courteous and efficient. The food is some of the best on the island. The wine, we ordered a bottle of the Odelouca, was served at the proper temperature and was excellent. We highly recommend dining at this restaurant.

We had the beef skewers, which were very tender and flavorful. They} shouldn't be missed. We had a nice chat with the hostess who is from Venezuela and the chef (I believe is from Portugal) talked to us as well. It was a fun, quiet night. For foodies, this is a great place to go.

This place is fantastic! A little hidden but do not skip. The tiger shrimp, mahi mahi, steak, and lamb were all ordered at our table and 0 complaints. We were surprised to see this place so quiet! Def worth checking out!

Best service, atmosphere, and bar in Bonaire. Also food is among the best as well. I cannot understate how great everything is here. Absolutely worth driving to the outskirts of town for this gem.
