Food was deliciplace.Server was just OK. She didn't know what the special was and didn't know much about the menu. She however was very nice.The flies however were insane! Not just a couple, but at one point we had no less than 15 flies all over us and our food. One of us had to stop eating to help fan the flies away so the others could eat. We didn't experience this at any other restaurant which made it particular to thus place.

Have never had this restaurant on my Bonaire list but we ended up here one night when our group couldn't decide what we wanted for dinner. We had so much fun and the food was so good. We even ordered a couple dishes twice. The tapas dishes let you try many different things, lean into that and go for it. Our server (I'm sorry I don't remember her name!) was a riot and matched our energy perfectly. We had a great time talking with her and sharing banter and laughs. I highly recommend. Go after sunset so you can sit outside.

My husband and I had a really lovely meal here tonight. Everything we ate was delicious and there were several highlights:Queso from the starters menu came with delicious cheese and olivesGambas ala Ajillo were very flavourful as was the Short Rib. (Get the batatas bravas and soak some in the leftover garlic oil from the shrimp. Delightful)Also we had the ricotta ravioli (very simple but very fresh taste and texture) the tortilla de españa and the burrata. Everything was really tasty and came out quickly.Inside of the space was well thought out and fun. Casual style of service but something that I, as a longtime restaurant manager, really enjoy! Our main server, Daniela was a delight to interact with and she provided suggestions that we are glad we followed. A true gem. Highly recommend.

We had 7 tapas and 4 cocktails between two of us. Enjoyed a non rushed experience. Our server was lovely and staggered the plates just right. Six of the seven plates were on point, the other was great tasting but had a texture issue for us. Can't ding the restaurant for our issues. Would recommend and will return if ever on Bonaire again. First rate tapas on a southern Caribbean island.......who knew?

We came back twice in one week. Marcel made our reservations easy through instagram. His team serving us both nights were friendly and authentic which we truly enjoyed. The tapas did not disappoint.We have no hesitation recommending a meal here.Thank you Marcel and team.Cheers

We arrived early on Christmas Eve and we're promptly seated at the table of our choice. Our waitress Danielle was great, and we thought service was quick, being served by at least two other servers along the way. Lived the garlic shrimp especially, the picanha steak a bit chewy but wow what flavor and the green sauce was amazing, so was the sauce for the mushroom croquettes. Yummy deserts too. Fairly reasonably priced. Enjoy!

Who doesn't love tapas and getting to try many different things? This is a pleasant change from many of the restaurants on Bonaire due to the range of menu items available. It took a little while to get the four things we ordered (and we would have been okay with getting them piecemeal) but they were excellent when they arrived.

Probably our favorite restaurant on Bonaire. Everything is top notch and we love the small portions - can have 4 or 5 different meals - like a buffet - except yummy 🤤😂

Four of us dined here last night for the 2nd time in a few weeks. The food is great. Last night was especially fantastic due to our server Daniella — she has a wonderful spirit and we very much enjoyed bantering with her. 5 stars to Daniella!

The food was plated well and was overall fine. However, the service was awful. We sat down outside and ordered drinks fist-- a sangria pitcher and a pinot noir. The waitress asked if we wanted the food to come out as it is made. We said yes, because we were hungry. We had to wait 30 minutes to even get our first tapa! Everything ended up coming out at the same time. However, our drinks came AFTER our food. We were extremely confused. Rather than a pinot noir, they gave us a pinot grigio, and then we had to wait another 10 minutes to receive that. Meanwhile, the tables next to us sat down after us and got their food and drinks before us. Each dish has around three pieces, and the fries were good.

Nice tapas restaurant. Very friendly from the start which made us feel welcome. Drinks took a little long for our liking but were very nice. Food was good, especially the focaccia with dips. However I wouldn't recommended the mini antipasti, But definitely try the tacos.

I took my family on an 8 day vacation and we were so glad to have found this wonderful restaurant. My son has peanut allergies (very severe) and the staff was very accommodating. They greeted us and treated us like we were old friends. By far and away, THE BEST service we received in all of Bonaire and some of the best food we've ever had in all of our travels. It was a very fun and friendly experience. We spoke with the owner and truly felt like an honored guest. We enjoyed the food and the cocktails (AMAZING) and the atmosphere so much that we had dinner here 3 nights of our vacation and would have done a 4th but they were full due to a cruise ship visit. You cannot visit Bonaire without visiting Bon Tapa. We will definitely be back!

Excellent experience. We were able to get small salads with chicken and focaccia and some wine 🍷- made for the perfect meal. Great service! Would absolutely recommend!

Excellent food, especially the octopus (we ordered seconds). Salmon crudo was tasty, green salad had a good variety of veggies. The flat iron steak was nicely done but its red wine sauce was not as good as the rest of the meal. Apparently the sauce changes frequently. Service was friendly and prompt.

Great small plates but filling at the same time. Price is reasonable compared to other restaurants in the Bonaire area. I’m coming back again before I leave.

It was a wonderful experience starting from securing reservation with Francesca over WhatsApp. She called back right away. Our waitress was lovely and very personable. We ordered smoked beef tostados, salmon crudo, catch of the day ( mahi mahi) and fish gratin in coconut crumbs ( gluten free) tai style. Everything was perfect. The desert drinks were amazing as well. Martini with passion fruit and pineapple was brought with a shot of Prosecco. Scroppino with pear was out of this world. We started to research recipes to make it at home and impress guests. So, great evening at a wonderful place.

Amazing meal here with delicious tapas and drinks. The staff was very accommodating about the peanut allergy we had in our party. Pulpo, gambas al ajillo, and catch of the day (tuna) were all ordered twice. Chorizo and flat iron steak also very tasty. You can buy the kitchen a round of beers for $10. Do it! They deserve it.

We had an amazing experience at Bon Tapa! The pulled chicken tacos and steak were fantastic—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. As someone with a gluten allergy, I was really impressed with their dedicated gluten-free menu. Our waitress was incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring I was informed about my options. She mentioned studying in Holland. A tall white male waiter was also very friendly and attentive. Overall, excellent service and delicious food. Highly recommend!

Great location, in the best touristic area of Bonaire, great food and amazing service. Not recommended if you suffer heat waves as it does not have AC and the fans are not enough to keep you comfortable.

Nice waterfront place. Staff is great and friendly. Tapas are unique. I didn't post pics because the monitor on site displays the dishes really well. Overall a moderate tasty place. Aimed at the Dutch palette. Definitely try the cherry/French toast dessert. Combine them all for a great combo.

Awesome food, great service at a cozy place! Everything was very good, from the drinks, served in nice cups, to the tapas.Our favorite one wlas the bacon wrapped goat cheese. A must! Even kids loved the ribs and the nachos.Totally recommend!

That was a very nice evening. Fine food, very friendly waiters/waitresses and good atmosphere. Some nice music and a lot of people, so a very nice evening out. They've got lot's of choice, meat, fish and vegetables and nice sides. The best dish of the evening was the picanha, but we also loved the smokey rib-eye tostadas and there realy wasn't a bad dish tonight. The cheesy fries were great as were the patatas bravas. Smoked salmon was a bit high on salt and they sold out of some things, but there was lots of choice so no problem.

Lovely spot! Food was amazing, and the restaurant was very nice. Food came out hot and quick. Kaylee was in charge of our table and took great care of us! Definitely a must-go, and will absolutely be coming back next time we're on the island. I recommend the Teriyaki Beef Tenderloin.

Made reservations for my birthday. Love Spain and look for tapas restaurants when traveling. We had Cava and several dishes. Everything was good, including the pan tomate, which we were really looking forward to eating. I had the mahi mahi, catch of the day and the sauce was VERY salty. I have a high tolerance to salt, but this was excessive. Just scraped some sauce off and it was ok. The fish was cooked perfectly medium, which made me happy. A lot of places overcook fish. The only negative was that the lady who opened our bottles of Cava popped the cork(twice...we had 2 bottles), which lets the bubbles out and it goes flat much faster. This is a very nice restaurant, so I would expect the staff to be trained how to open sparkling wine without popping the cork. Would definitely go back again and still highly recommend Bon Tapa.

The food was good. My wife and I shared the tasting menu. The service also decent. Because the restaurant is an open concept people were allowed to smoke and I haven't been in an environment that allowed smoking in years and that was off-putting.

This was our favorite place to eat from our trip to Bonaire. They have a great ambiance with friendly and helpful staff. Tapas are always fun with friends being able to try a lot of different things and everything we tried here was delicious including the pitchers of mojitos and sangria. If you aren't familiar with tapas plan on being here for longer than a normal American meal and definitely make a reservation if coming later in the evening

This is the best meal we had in a week on Bonaire. The food and service were excellent. As we paid our check, we made a reservation to return the following night. The pork loin was spectacular, but all the food was really, really good. Highly recommend.

Drinks and service 5⭐️. But food only 2⭐️. The ceviche was a ridiculously small portion- even for tapas. It looked more like very small leftover fish pieces, no Leche de Tigre, but Salat and one small slice of potatoe. This is not a Peruvian ceviche. The quesadillas needed more filling and cheese and were aswell very small for tapas. The patatas Bravas and aioli were tasty. Value for the money was not good. To sum up come for cocktails and some fries.

Service here was some of the best we received on the island. We were seated promptly, and the servers were very attentive. Was nice that we were able to try so many different options, all of which were really good. Goat cheese w/ bacon and the flat iron peppercorn slices were highlights. Will def be back. Wish we had found this place sooner on our two week trip.

Good idea to make reservations as this place can get busy. If you're feeling a bit adventurous, get the 'Dare to Share' tapas for 2. The chef prepares 10 different tapas, brought out all together on a platter. They were all very good. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and very attentive. Definitely a do not miss here in Bonaire.

Unless you go early, you'll need reservations. Interior is dark and rich looking. Very complete drink menu and a lot of tapas to choose from. Service was good. Food comes out as it is ready.

This place was great! Ended up going several times on my last trip to Bonaire. The food was delicious and super well priced. The bartender, Christian, was phenomemal; he is truly dedicated to his craft. Was great chatting with him and the owner! Great food, amazing drinks, good value, and phenomenal staff. Nothing but good stuff to say. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

OverratedI had high hopes for this restaurant. However a big disappointment; my red snapper was extremely dry and hard to chew, although the relish on the top was good. And the baked vegetables I was so much looking forward to seemed to me to be fried and were swimming in oil, so much so that I couldn't even finish this small tapa. Three stars are for the excellent service, otherwise even one star would be a compliment.

The flat iron steak was nicely done but its red wine sauce was not as good as the rest of the meal. Apparently the sauce changes frequently. Service was friendly and prompt.

Great small plates but filling at the same time. Price is reasonable compared to other restaurants in the Bonaire area. I’m coming back again before I leave.

It was a wonderful experience starting from securing reservation with Francesca over WhatsApp. She called back right away. Our waitress was lovely and very personable. We ordered smoked beef tostados, salmon crudo, catch of the day ( mahi mahi) and fish gratin in coconut crumbs ( gluten free) tai style. Everything was perfect. The desert drinks were amazing as well. Martini with passion fruit and pineapple was brought with a shot of Prosecco. Scroppino with pear was out of this world. We started to research recipes to make it at home and impress guests. So, great evening at a wonderful place.

Amazing meal here with delicious tapas and drinks. The staff was very accommodating about the peanut allergy we had in our party. Pulpo, gambas al ajillo, and catch of the day (tuna) were all ordered twice. Chorizo and flat iron steak also very tasty. You can buy the kitchen a round of beers for $10. Do it! They deserve it.

We had an amazing experience at Bon Tapa! The pulled chicken tacos and steak were fantastic—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. As someone with a gluten allergy, I was really impressed with their dedicated gluten-free menu. Our waitress was incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring I was informed about my options. She mentioned studying in Holland. A tall white male waiter was also very friendly and attentive. Overall, excellent service and delicious food. Highly recommend!

Great location, in the best touristic area of Bonaire, great food and amazing service. Not recommended if you suffer heat waves as it does not have AC and the fans are not enough to keep you comfortable.

Nice waterfront place. Staff is great and friendly. Tapas are unique. I didn't post pics because the monitor on site displays the dishes really well. Overall a moderate tasty place. Aimed at the Dutch palette. Definitely try the cherry/French toast dessert. Combine them all for a great combo.

Awesome food, great service at a cozy place! Everything was very good, from the drinks, served in nice cups, to the tapas.Our favorite one wlas the bacon wrapped goat cheese. A must! Even kids loved the ribs and the nachos.Totally recommend!

That was a very nice evening. Fine food, very friendly waiters/waitresses and good atmosphere. Some nice music and a lot of people, so a very nice evening out. They've got lot's of choice, meat, fish and vegetables and nice sides. The best dish of the evening was the picanha, but we also loved the smokey rib-eye tostadas and there realy wasn't a bad dish tonight. The cheesy fries were great as were the patatas bravas. Smoked salmon was a bit high on salt and they sold out of some things, but there was lots of choice so no problem.

Lovely spot! Food was amazing, and the restaurant was very nice. Food came out hot and quick. Kaylee was in charge of our table and took great care of us! Definitely a must-go, and will absolutely be coming back next time we're on the island. I recommend the Teriyaki Beef Tenderloin.

Made reservations for my birthday. Love Spain and look for tapas restaurants when traveling. We had Cava and several dishes. Everything was good, including the pan tomate, which we were really looking forward to eating. I had the mahi mahi, catch of the day and the sauce was VERY salty. I have a high tolerance to salt, but this was excessive. Just scraped some sauce off and it was ok. The fish was cooked perfectly medium, which made me happy. A lot of places overcook fish. The only negative was that the lady who opened our bottles of Cava popped the cork(twice...we had 2 bottles), which lets the bubbles out and it goes flat much faster. This is a very nice restaurant, so I would expect the staff to be trained how to open sparkling wine without popping the cork. Would definitely go back again and still highly recommend Bon Tapa.

The food was good. My wife and I shared the tasting menu. The service also decent. Because the restaurant is an open concept people were allowed to smoke and I haven't been in an environment that allowed smoking in years and that was off-putting.

This was our favorite place to eat from our trip to Bonaire. They have a great ambiance with friendly and helpful staff. Tapas are always fun with friends being able to try a lot of different things and everything we tried here was delicious including the pitchers of mojitos and sangria. If you aren't familiar with tapas plan on being here for longer than a normal American meal and definitely make a reservation if coming later in the evening

This is the best meal we had in a week on Bonaire. The food and service were excellent. As we paid our check, we made a reservation to return the following night. The pork loin was spectacular, but all the food was really, really good. Highly recommend.

Drinks and service 5⭐️. But food only 2⭐️. The ceviche was a ridiculously small portion- even for tapas. It looked more like very small leftover fish pieces, no Leche de Tigre, but Salat and one small slice of potatoe. This is not a Peruvian ceviche. The quesadillas needed more filling and cheese and were aswell very small for tapas. The patatas Bravas and aioli were tasty. Value for the money was not good. To sum up come for cocktails and some fries.

Service here was some of the best we received on the island. We were seated promptly, and the servers were very attentive. Was nice that we were able to try so many different options, all of which were really good. Goat cheese w/ bacon and the flat iron peppercorn slices were highlights. Will def be back. Wish we had found this place sooner on our two week trip.

Good idea to make reservations as this place can get busy. If you're feeling a bit adventurous, get the 'Dare to Share' tapas for 2. The chef prepares 10 different tapas, brought out all together on a platter. They were all very good. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and very attentive. Definitely a do not miss here in Bonaire.

Unless you go early, you'll need reservations. Interior is dark and rich looking. Very complete drink menu and a lot of tapas to choose from. Service was good. Food comes out as it is ready.

This place was great! Ended up going several times on my last trip to Bonaire. The food was delicious and super well priced. The bartender, Christian, was phenomemal; he is truly dedicated to his craft. Was great chatting with him and the owner! Great food, amazing drinks, good value, and phenomenal staff. Nothing but good stuff to say. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

OverratedI had high hopes for this restaurant. However a big disappointment; my red snapper was extremely dry and hard to chew, although the relish on the top was good. And the baked vegetables I was so much looking forward to seemed to me to be fried and were swimming in oil, so much so that I couldn't even finish this small tapa. Three stars are for the excellent service, otherwise even one star would be a compliment.
