First time here. Surprised we hadn’t noticed it before as we’ve been to Bonaire many times. Had the Pasta Negra (iberico ham) and the fish of the day. The negra was great! We had been to Spain earlier this year and missed it. Can’t get it in the states. Tried to go again tonight but they were closed on the weekends.

+1 to all the great reviews about the pork belly — it really lives up to the hype. Delicious and a generous portion too. The ambience is warm and cozy, and they have an interesting selection of beers. Definitely worth a visit.

The location is beautiful and interesting with lots of atmosphere—not at all the cookie cutter look of so many places we’ve found.The menu was interesting, the food tasty, and the waitress pleasant and helpful. And I actually had a dessert I’ve never seen anywhere else: a poached pear with an interesting crisp glazing of caramel, and rum raisin ice cream on the side. Excellent!

Beautiful location underneath a big tree they had multiple draft beers what was great we had the duck breast and gambas good stuff we also had the goat salad we highly recommend that one we also did the pork belly good stuff if you visit bonaire try out this place

We have been already some time now on Bonaire and every night we have tried a new restaurant, but only the consulaat really stood out to us.The food is delicious especially the “buik spek” and the mixed platter is a really nice combination and definitely a must have when you dine in the Consulaat.The service was really friendly and active, ensuring you always could order some drinks or additional food!The Consulaat is really worthy of a 5 star rating and a must visit when on Bonaire!

Great spot with a nice courtyard. Service is on point and they have a wonderful bar outside. Food is fresh and good, shared dining with plenty of tasty options.

Cute little place off a busy street. Food and drinks were delicious. Atmosphere unique with trees and vines growing throughout the seating. You could hardly tell you were right off the street

My (vegetarian) food was good. Two colleagues were very unhappy with their meat. Service wasn't what I'm used to on Bonaire; somewhat unfriendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice!

This was suggested to us by a local. It is off the main (tourist) road, but easy walk to the cruise terminal. The food was fabulous and the service was excellent. I'm so glad we had a late day in Bonaire so we could experience this. Cannot wait to go back.

very European in the middle of the small island. very sophisticated and delicious food! plates are not so small, three for two people is enough! we tried duck, tartare, bread and scallop. everything was just amazing! it's better to book a table and prepare to an European style of slow service 😉

Dined here an evening or so after Christmas and had a wonderful experience. Managed to get a table outside despite not having a reservation and found the ambience and atmosphere to be very enjoyable (inside looked very chill as well). Food was excellent, with enough vegetarian options to satisfy those who don't eat meat – the gnocchi and lasagna were big hits at our table, as were the meatball and shrimp. The portions were also larger than we were anticipating from a "small plate" house, which was a pleasant surprise. Though the restaurant was very busy throughout the evening, the service was excellent at all times – high marks to all who came to our table. Very glad we stopped in here and will gladly return next time we're in Bonaire.

The food here was delicious. It has a tapas feel with smaller shareable plates making this a great place to take a group of friends. I definitely recommend the gnocchi, my favorite dish here. There is seating indoors and outside. The outdoor seating is covered by trees with very nice lighting giving this place a great ambiance.

Cool little spot for some drinks and food. I would recommend the sampler for the first time, especially if you aren't familiar with dutch cuisine. We also had the spaghetti like so many others and thought it was pretty amazing! Make a reservation, the place is pretty small and fills up quickly.

Delicious meal in a lively and beautiful outdoor courtyard. Excellent service despite a full restaurant. Especially enjoyed the calamari and the goat cheese salad. A few steps away from the main street and well worth the effort.

The Consulate is closed every Saturday and a private party can be organized here. No difficult rental agreements, completely easy and everything can be arranged.
