Dining with the Stars!Bravo to Han and Mark for creating such an amazing and unique culinary experience. If you are a "Gastronome" you definitely don't want to miss CHEFS table in Bonaire. The creativity at its best orchestrated magically just in front of you is an amazing show and learning experience. Incredible food "degustation" and presentation. With uniquely chosen ingredients including perfect wine selection pairing, the proposed 5-course menu keeps the excitement running until the end. Fabulous to have the opportunity to talk with Han and Mark all along the evening. Merci Han et Mark pour une soirée mémorable et à très bientôt!

This is the top spot on Bonaire to eat at. Han and Mark are exceptional, as both Chefs and Hosts. Watching them work their craft is almost as much fun as eating what they create. The Wine pairing option is a must IMHO. The only down side is it can be hard to find a seat.

What a wonderful place! Beyond delicious, personal and very comfortable. Even a vegan menu was pulled out of the magic hat! What a fantastic evening!

What a great experience this was! Love the limited seat around the chef to watch how dishes are prepared. It creates a cosy atmosphere and sparks conversation with your neighbors. The food was great. Classic dishes but with a Caribean twist. Loved the wine pairing as well. Next to Bras Boer definitely a recommendation for every foodie visiting the island.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE AND FOOD! I had the privilege this evening of eating at Chefs Bonaire. I was greeted by both of the executive chefs/ owners with a glass of champagne. Having an opportunity to eat at this establishment is something I might never forget. I look forward to my next visit.

Hands down the best food and service I have had anywhere in a long time. The experience was phenomenal. The two chefs greet you personally with a welcome drink in the little courtyard (bonus mosquito spray provided!) and lead you to the seating area which seats only 16 people each night. The ambiance and intimate and relaxed and not pretentious at all. The menu changes every two weeks and there is a wine pairing offered with each course. The food is prepared with care and the chefs explain the provenance of the food and it’s preparation. Definitely worth the price and time, make a reservation!

After a warm welcome at 7:00 PM, the Chefs are there to personally accompany you to your seat. A very comfortable seat, placed in a surprising setting with a cosy, relaxed atmosphere.

A chance to meet new people and share (Bonaire) stories and adventures. A place where the Chefs not only create culinary masterpieces, but will serve them to you personally as well.

Our wines complement your courses in a carefully selected wine flight. Of course you are also welcome to select wines yourself. All we want for you is to sit back and enjoy the experience!

Who Are These Chefs?

Friends since Culinary School, the Dutchies Han ten Winkel and Mark Tromop ventured across the globe and gained experience in many a well-known restaurant in places near and far. The small Dutch Caribbean Island of Bonaire was where they decided to make their dream into reality:

‘to only use the best in order to create delightful dishes, served in an intimate personal setting where Chef, Maître and Waiter are all one and the same’.

According to Han and Mark, a true Chef must strive to fuse experience, ideas, technique, cultures and the best ingredients into an unforgettable culinary experience. And… with a passion!

They work their magic surrounded by their guests to ensure they get to know you personally and give you the attention you so wholeheartedly deserve.

At CHEFS you are not a customer but a much valued guest. After all, a good dining experience is fine, but a great dining experience is what you’re really after.

To showcase Bonaire's culinary wealth, Bonaire Culinair committee organizes a 15-day culinary event that takes place on the entire island. It will start on May 20th 2021 and ends on June 3rd 2021. During these 15 days the participating restaurants will create a special 3-course menu at a set price of $33.
