My wife and I stopped at this restaurant to grab a quick bite to eat and some cocktails while on a cruise. The waitress and cook were very professional and had our food and drinks ready quickly. The food and drinks were very good. The prices were good as well. We enjoyed eating outside with the breeze coming from the ocean. We will be back again.

This review is long overdue from our trip to Bonaire earlier this year, but one thing is certain, my husband and I have not stopped thinking about Hooked By Sunsets. We didn’t discover this incredible restaurant until the last few days of our trip. It was recommended by a local guide, and after many meals with a great view and mediocre food, we decided it was worth a try. Best decision of the trip when it comes to dining out! The view is incredible, but don’t let it fool you because the food and the hospitality are equally exceptional. We stopped for dinner several times to enjoy favorites from the previous night, while trying other options on the menu and from the bar. Anything with brisket, ribs and all homemade pasta was absolutely perfect. The quality and consistency of the food, drinks and exceptional service demonstrates the high level of customer service and true hospitality expected by the owners. Roxy, with her special attention to each customer and openness, was an added bonus to each visit. We instantly felt like part of the Hooked family. This will be the first stop on our return trip and should be yours too if you love high quality food, welcoming atmosphere and stellar view. Dare to be Hooked by Sunsets, I know we are! Disclaimer - High quality takes time. This is not a drive through, so if you aren’t used to a well paced meal, come with additional patience and prepare to be wowed.

We originally came just for drinks, and the cocktails were amazing. After sitting for a while we decided to try some food, and we’re so glad we did. The burger and flat iron steak were honestly some of the best we’ve ever had. The owner was incredibly friendly, and we had such a nice conversation with her.The atmosphere was fantastic. Great drinks, delicious food, and a welcoming vibe. Highly recommend!

Really beautiful and warm bartender. She took time to explain what is happenning in Bonaire this weekend, I am here on a short stay. All her recommendations are awesome so far, so thankful I came here for a drink. The cocktail was awesome, nicely done, and provided a great start to the night. I will definitely stop by here again before. Great location, breezy and cool.

Stopped at Hooked for drinks and a bite.Everything about the place was inviting. Nice setup, great location overlooking the sea and good music in the background.The service was quick and consistent (unlike many places on Bonaire) and the different starters we had were tasty.We will definitely come back for more!

Best spot in Bonaire! Tapas style food and everything is delicious!!! The Lobster bisque ravioli was AMAZING. The calamari was unique (not fried) and soooo delicious. You can taste the fresh ingredients in each dish. The service is top-notch and ocean views are incredible! If that isn’t enough to entice you, they are one of the few dog-friendly restaurants on the island 🥳

Best meal we’ve had in Bonaire. They have a lot of options but we specifically loved their small plates so we could try a variety of flavors. Highly recommend the Thai calamari and the truffle ravioli. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order though. Fast, friendly, delicious, and a fantastic location with an amazing view and atmosphere. Will definitely go back again.

Great food variety, beautiful location and the customer service was wonderful. We got the sticky cauliflower, spicy Korean chicken and cheese balls. So yummy!

Great place with friendly service. Good craft beer on tap and the best food I’ve found in the area- they smoke the brisket out front daily. Great sunset spot. Solid cocktails too - a nice escape from crappy waterfront food and drinks.

A new chef is here and the food is great now! Don’t miss the smoked brisket, rendang bitterballen and sticky cauliflower. Drinks are tasty, not too sweet or watered down. Catch the sunset on the outdoor tables, and remember that you are on an island. Take it slow…

We came here twice during our recent visit to Bonaire. The first night was just to grab some post-dinner drink and enjoy sunset. We had a fantastic table right out front and enjoyed our view. Before we left, we booked a dinner reservation for later in the week.Our dinner reservation was just as wonderful. We sat and my husband started off with a rum flight, specifically curated by the bartender and we were provided a great explanation; all four choices were unique.We ordered drinks with our dinner; I had tacos (jackfruit and brisket) and my husband ordered the large steak. My brisket tacos were the favorite of our meal. We enjoyed the sunset and had incredible spot once again to enjoy.Overall the experience was positive. Highly recommend coming here for sunset and enjoying the view with a couple of drinks post-dinner. They have plenty of seating, but to get a sunset spot, come early. Staff are friendly and service is great.

An amazing refuge from the run of a mill “resort food”. This place hooked us (pun intended). The food is high quality and the views of the harbor is beautiful. Vibes are a sultry seaside with an epic sunset view. We came back for sunset three times in a row, not even embarrassed to admit it. Staff is so kind and prompt. Highly recommend !

We came here 3 times while visiting because we loved the food and the vibes so much. It over looks the ocean and is right in the center of activity, yet still out of the crowds. The people here are super friendly and welcomed us back each time with a smile and a little laugh. The food was fantastic, we ordered the shrimp, steak, Korean chicken and house made bread and all of it exceptionally delicious. The sauces were perfectly crafted and pulled together the flavors of each dish beautifully, making it melt in your mouth and taste heavenly. Definitely would recommend and we will be back the next time we visit

Delicious food-we had patatas bravas, calamari, pili pili shrimp and dim sum, all good. Attentive service was provided by Oscar. We ate here twice last year right after it opened and had been looking forward to dining here again. It did not disappoint.

I came here after going to the restaurant across the street and getting bad service.Talk about a breath of fresh air! I was immediately greeted! There were 3 wait staff present - Fleur, David, and Roxanne. Each person was extremely attentive. They made recommendations and answered questions about the menu. They consistently checked on me and all other guests to ensure we were satisfied. Before your drink was even empty, they’d ask if you wanted to order another. I mean literally very attentive service! And they all worked together! It wasn’t like I could only order with Fleur. They worked as a team and made the experience even better.The food was HOT (temperature wise) and fresh! I ordered patatas bravas and Pili Pili shrimp (may have spelled that wrong) but both were PHENOMENAL! The fries come out like they were freshly peeled and fried in the kitchen. I mean truly, they were amazing and yet so simple. Two sauces accompanied the fries (an aoli and a spicy sauce). Both were amazing! The shrimp came out with about ….10 shrimp in a delicious sauce. It was a little spicy, but only a little - nothing to overwhelm the palate. The shrimp also came with fresh bread to dip into the sauce.Finally, they offer specialty test tube shots. That was very fun! Their menu says ask our staff about the specialty shot of the day. I didn’t know if they meant it, but when I asked I was given a complete rundown of each type of shot available. It’s sad to be so happy about someone doing their job well, but it was really appreciated because good help is hard to find 😩Overall, 10/10! I’d come back here and highly recommend it. The service is what took it over the edge - so to Fleur, Roxanne, and David, thank you for being attentive!

First time eating here. Will not be the last!Fantastic selection of cocktails, wines and beers. Turf n Surf Tripel Ale from Vandestreek was a great change from the regular beers available on the island.Small plates, perfect portions and excellent quality. The truffle ravioli was absolutely fanstatic!Pleasant service, great atmosphere, good breeze sitting along the waterfront.3 plates, 2 cocktails and a beer...$75. That's very reasonably priced for dinner for two people.Great job! Looking forward to coming back!

Amazing ceviche. Absolutely brilliant. Perfectly balanced between sweet, sour and spicy, with sea-fresh fish.Have eaten here twice, because I was so impressed by the flavor combinations.Have tried the ceviche, the frutti di mare pasta, and the goat burger and all were quite good.The owner makes a very good effort for making everyone welcome, the teenagers working as waitresses need a bit more training 🙂

One of the best dishes we’ve had on the island so far. Great sunset, extraordinary quality of food, delicious IPA and extraordinary service. I’d recommend this one to anyone even though it’s getting harder to catch a table at prime time. Thnx for an unforgettable eve ?

Came upon this spot when walking downtown- menu is more tapas plates which we love- the ravioli was tasty but the shrimp was super fishy and chewy. Cheese plate was good, crackers vs chips would be tastier as well as some dips other than mayo based dips! Fig jam/ red pepper jelly etc. server was very friendly and food came out fast so no complaints there!

Easily the best tasting food on the island. Not sure why the reviews are so low. Great view, great service. Perfectly seasoned food. The owner (female) was very helpful with my wife's allergy request. They even allowed her to fully change a menu item because of her gluten allergy. Highly recommend.

We have been here all week and ate in many different places, this is by far the best food we have eaten on Bonaire. It's a bit pricier but it's SOOOOO worth it.

Food and service were wonderful. Owners were a delight to talk to and helpful with information about the area when I asked. Enjoyed a sunset one night and drinks another night. Side note- so happy they were open on Sunday.

Even with a reservation it seems like there is not enough staff for the amount of customers, or that isn’t a priority. PROS: great views of the coast and sunset, they didn’t pick the name for no reason. CONS: small portions for the price, weak drinks, slow services and they would benefit from fans to keep the plague of flies away. I would still recommend for a single beer and a shared plate, but get the bill right away.

Since we decided to do this project in 2022 until we opened in October 2023, this place has been buzzing with energy and non-stop improvements….big and small; thanks to an exceptional team of professionals and some passionate souls.

Wine is our fuel, and at “Hooked”, we bring you interesting and tasteful wines. But hey, let’s not forget about the food!! Because here, good wine gets even better with great food.

Our menu is an ever-changing list of small, shareable dishes bursting with special flavours, all lovingly crafted in-house. Besides wine and food, we also do cocktails. Actually… we don’t just do them, we love them!! And so do our guests. Especially the Espresso Martinis and Scroppino’s that have become tough competition for our desserts…and a workout for our staff.

“Hooked” wants to be that local bar where we welcome everybody. We appreciate our international guests as much as our neighbours.

We adore our neighbourhood…. “this chill city, Kralendijk – with Old Caribbean charm” and we proudly call it our home.

And they all worked together! It wasn’t like I could only order with Fleur. They worked as a team and made the experience even better.The food was HOT (temperature wise) and fresh! I ordered patatas bravas and Pili Pili shrimp (may have spelled that wrong) but both were PHENOMENAL! The fries come out like they were freshly peeled and fried in the kitchen. I mean truly, they were amazing and yet so simple. Two sauces accompanied the fries (an aoli and a spicy sauce). Both were amazing! The shrimp came out with about ….10 shrimp in a delicious sauce. It was a little spicy, but only a little - nothing to overwhelm the palate. The shrimp also came with fresh bread to dip into the sauce.Finally, they offer specialty test tube shots. That was very fun! Their menu says ask our staff about the specialty shot of the day. I didn’t know if they meant it, but when I asked I was given a complete rundown of each type of shot available. It’s sad to be so happy about someone doing their job well, but it was really appreciated because good help is hard to find 😩Overall, 10/10! I’d come back here and highly recommend it. The service is what took it over the edge - so to Fleur, Roxanne, and David, thank you for being attentive!

Lovely bar, great setting with a great view of the sunset. Cocktails were well designed and tasty, beer was cold with Heineken on draft. Didn't get time to eat here but looked good

First time eating here. Will not be the last!Fantastic selection of cocktails, wines and beers. Turf n Surf Tripel Ale from Vandestreek was a great change from the regular beers available on the island.Small plates, perfect portions and excellent quality. The truffle ravioli was absolutely fanstatic!Pleasant service, great atmosphere, good breeze sitting along the waterfront.3 plates, 2 cocktails and a beer...$75. That's very reasonably priced for dinner for two people.Great job! Looking forward to coming back!

Truffle Ravioli was amazing! Beef Tacos were so flavorful! Roxanne was amazing! You need to give these guys a try! High five to the chef!

Amazing ceviche. Absolutely brilliant. Perfectly balanced between sweet, sour and spicy, with sea-fresh fish.Have eaten here twice, because I was so impressed by the flavor combinations.Have tried the ceviche, the frutti di mare pasta, and the goat burger and all were quite good.The owner makes a very good effort for making everyone welcome, the teenagers working as waitresses need a bit more training 🙂

One of the best dishes we’ve had on the island so far. Great sunset, extraordinary quality of food, delicious IPA and extraordinary service. I’d recommend this one to anyone even though it’s getting harder to catch a table at prime time. Thnx for an unforgettable eve ?

Came upon this spot when walking downtown- menu is more tapas plates which we love- the ravioli was tasty but the shrimp was super fishy and chewy. Cheese plate was good, crackers vs chips would be tastier as well as some dips other than mayo based dips! Fig jam/ red pepper jelly etc. server was very friendly and food came out fast so no complaints there!

Easily the best tasting food on the island. Not sure why the reviews are so low. Great view, great service. Perfectly seasoned food. The owner (female) was very helpful with my wife's allergy request. They even allowed her to fully change a menu item because of her gluten allergy. Highly recommend.

We have been here all week and ate in many different places, this is by far the best food we have eaten on Bonaire. It's a bit pricier but it's SOOOOO worth it.

Food and service were wonderful. Owners were a delight to talk to and helpful with information about the area when I asked. Enjoyed a sunset one night and drinks another night. Side note- so happy they were open on Sunday.

Perfect view to watch the sunset. Service was friendly, and I enjoyed the Valentine’s Day special with champagne by the glass. I ordered nachos, and the chips were stale.

We visited Sat night and they were severely short staffed....but wow.The food was outstanding and the location/view...awesome...see the pics.

Even with a reservation it seems like there is not enough staff for the amount of customers, or that isn’t a priority. PROS: great views of the coast and sunset, they didn’t pick the name for no reason. CONS: small portions for the price, weak drinks, slow services and they would benefit from fans to keep the plague of flies away. I would still recommend for a single beer and a shared plate, but get the bill right away.
