Joe’s started in 2012 as a Grill House but over the past few years we can say that we became a restaurant with a broad international menu including many delicious dishes, offering great service in combination with high quality dishes at affordable prices.
Enjoy the casual and friendly atmosphere at Joe’s while having a tasty meal together with a good glass of wine, a beer or a Caribbean cocktail. Joe’s Restaurant is one of the few restaurants with a kids corner where the children can play and have fun.
The restaurant is open five days a week.

“As owner and chef I can really enjoy a good beer. Besides the regular beers, I have designed a beer menu that includes a tasty treat for everyone. From a soft and fresh 2% beer to a strong 11% beer. Beers from different country’s like Belgium, Holland and even a beer from Bonaire. Ask your waiter for the beer menu! Beer belongs in her own glass. Not only because it looks nice, but more important because of the taste. That’s the reason we try to serve every beer in her own glass. Not into beer? Yess! coffee liquor contains 21% alcohol and has a sweet, fruity and spicy taste with tones of fruit, caramel and black pepper. It is produced locally on the island of Bonaire and exclusively available at Joe’s Restaurant for $22.50 per bottle.

The best meal we had on the island! The scallop appetizer, mojitos, passion fruit mocktail, the Mahi Mahi catch of the day, the jumbo shrimp on couscous, the lava cake, and the lemon cello desserts...all of it was the best on the island. The service excellent as well! The chef knows their way around these dishes and adds interesting flavors. (Ie: gin and tonic marshmallow on the lemoncello). Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our dinner at Joe's start to finish! The ambiance is lovely (with inside or outside dining options). The service was impeccable - very nice and the right amount of attentiveness. And the food!!! Everything we ordered was delicious! All courses - from appetizers, through mains, and dessert! Highly recommend hitting up Joe's Restaurant when you are in Bonaire!

My experience at Joe's Restaurant ranks as one of the best dining experiences of my entire life (and I live in a city known for being a world-renowned dining destination).Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the host. We were seated outdoors - despite the seating area being close to a street, the setting is very relaxing and pleasant.My friends and I opted to go with the 4-course surprise menu and the 4-course wine pairing. Every course was delicious, and the wines perfectly complemented each dish. It's clear how much thought goes into creating each dish and wine pairing to provide a complementary, harmonious experience.Each course and wine pairing were artfully presented and explained. My friends and I were especially impressed by a smoked fish dish, which arrived with an inverted bell jar covering the plate and trapping the fragrant smoke inside. The food plating was equally impressive - each dish was a treat for the senses. And the pacing of each course was perfect, allowing us to really savour our food and the entire evening.While all of the above in and of itself justifies a visit to Joe's Restaurant, the service was actually the most extraordinary part of the experience. Our server/sommelier Bo was knowledgeable, attentive, and witty - in truth, she really made this meal the incredible experience that it was. She didn't miss an opportunity to make our dinner run smoothly and to make our experience extremely enjoyable. She's a huge asset to Joe's Restaurant and represents the establishment with excellent service.Finally - Joe's homemade liquor is delicious! I went back a few days later to buy a bottle as a gift, but now I'm regretting not having bought an extra bottle for myself.A huge thank you Joe's Restaurant and especially Bo for such an amazing experience! Nice evening, the food is very good although we found some other gems on the island that we prefer over this one. Service was very attentive. Overall a solid 4 stars in our opinion.

Joe's is very close to the resort we stayed at! We did a chef's tasting menu. They had a wide variety of dishes and the severs were kind and prompt. The timing of the dinner was slightly drawn out but was still a pleasant experience!

Lovely, attentive atmosphere. We sat on the patio and it was only mildly marred by the man nearby who insisted on smoking a cigar. The lights, the sea breeze, the outdoor noises were otherwise very pleasant. Staff were attentive. Complimentary breadsticks and a dip were provided. Interesting flavors, although the combination didn't work to my palate--a savory crispy breadstick and a fruity, creamy dip. Bread was delicious with a nice tomato-butter. Portions of the main course seemed small given the price point--luncheon portion, with as much vegetable as protein--but given the 'extras,' I'm not complaining, just noting for the heavy eaters. Flavor and cook was excellent. Some confusion later with the credit card company over the tip and they did not give me a copy of the receipt so I was unable to verify the amount.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Joe's Restaurant Bonaire on Christmas Day, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. We had a five course dinner with wine pairing, and every course was absolutely delicious.The staff at Joe's were great, making sure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. They were friendly and attentive, and really added to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.In terms of the food itself, we particularly enjoyed the Veal Tartar and the scallop dishes. Both were incredibly tasty and expertly prepared. We also appreciated the wine pairing, which perfectly complemented each course.We had a fantastic time at Joe's Restaurant Bonaire and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a delicious meal, you can't go wrong with Joe's.

Me and my husband went there to celebrate his birthday. I made a reservation one week earlier because it was a Christmas time and all other restaurants were fully booked for the entire week. This one still had a spot. Few days earlier we went for dinner to different restaurant and we were very disappointed so when we got to Joe's Restaurant we didn't have high expectations. From the beginning we were shocked how different service in Bonaire's restaurants can be. Everybody was so nice. The hostess welcomed us very nicely, then waiters were very polite. After we ordered our dinner we were served with small appetizer on the house with explanation what it was. I asked for a birthday candle on my husband cake and they put very nice small firework 😀 After we finished and asked for a check we were served with after dinner special liquor! All food was delicious and the service was great.The only complain that I have is that there is no one waiter who cares for a table but every time somebody else comes. I understand that maybe it is a team for serving a table like busboy who serves water and clean table, runner who serves dinner, and waiter who takes order and cares in general but we didn't know who actually our waiter was which was a little bit annoying.The other thing that could be handled better was the birthday cake. As I said the cake had beautiful candle but it was served without birthday song not even "Happy Birthday." It was only me and my husband so I had to sing the happy birthday song by myself...We are use to a nicer celebration when all serving staff come with a cake and sing happy birthday so it was a little disappointment.Besides this we had a wonderful experience in Joe's Restaurant and I strongly recommend this place.

I admit I initially thought this was going to be something like a standard American restaurant (burgers, sandwiches, etc) - but I just want to say this was probably the best meal we had in 2022! The Land and Sea was amazing! The steak was so tender, and the shrimp amazingly fresh. Oh, and the desserts…! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!

Amazing place, great food, and wonderful staff.The main courses compare to the finer restaurants in Bonaire, but the little extras put them over the top.Tiny little bowls with foi gras and eel, little breadsticks that are more like a pastry ans served with olives, hot bread with cream cheese, and an aperitif (which I'd never had).We just ordered the tuna ceviche for a starter which was delicious, and she had the catch of the day (mahi) with an amazing green apple sauce.I had the whole red snapper, which was very lightly seasoned and cooked perfectly. Too many goodies to try dessert so we'll have to come back.

OMG, get the goat cheese! I am not usually a fan, but it was amazing! The chicken satay is also amazing as well as the pork loin, but I truly believe you can't go wrong here. They also bring you small chef specials throughout your meal that are a nice touch that just adds to the overall awesome experience! This was my wife's favorite restaurant on the island and we visited multiple times in 11 days.

6 stars if I could! Absolute gem of a restaurant if you are looking for upscale dining in a laid-back, not pretentious setting. The best food we had on the island and the service was truly amazing. The menu is pricey, but very well worth it.

Found this place during our stay in Bonaire, went back 3 times. The catch of the day has been spectacular, the wait staff is amazing! Will def be back next time. They add a few little freebies which are a nice touch.

A fine dining experience while stille feeling casual. The staff was very friendly and open for questions and small talk. The food was amazing and so were the cocktails. Great for a care-free night out. Picture is of the duck breast.

We had the opportunity to visit Joe's on our last night in Bonaire. I cannot say enough about the amazing food and the wonderful service. From the oysters, Cesar salad, and amazing Grouper special.. It was all delicious and perfectly paired with good choice of wine. We were fortunate to have an after dinner drink of their house liquor. The food was amazing but their service set them apart from other restaurants on the island. I highly recommend you try this place out.

Loved this place. We were a very large group, and the waitress (co-owner) handled us not only flawlessly but with a great deal of humor that had us in stitches. The vegetarian options were a little bit on the bland side, but still delicious.

Had a great steak here and some good service.They made me a drink with three different kinds of liquor, an ABC (one each from Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao) and it was very good.I visited in September 2013.

Hands down the best restaurant we visited in Bonaire!It’s a classic example of a place run by people that understand, and enjoy their job!High quality food and service provided by people that make you feel welcome and at home.Dishes are very tasty and well prepared.We had the luck of staying at the resort next door, but I would be more than willing to travel across the island to enjoy a meal at this place!

Perfect! Bart&Jessica&Team doing a perfect job. Chancing menues with diverent specials of the day. Brilliant fish, good meat, fine appetisers, good wines and beers and drinks. Our absolut favorite since 2013! Prices are very OK!Bart is a joung engaged cook who is always looking for new tasty brilliant meals and innovations. We discussed with him in evening tlking blaablaas about cooking special things. He is on a good way!

A good restaurant for sit-down dining. Full bar and menu. Parking is free and easy. My wahoo special was excellent. Dining is Al fresco or under a roof open to the road. Try their Yess liquor for dessert.

Nice restaurant with friendly staff. Had dinner there on our day of arrival and came in quite late. No problem for our waitress. Our orders where served quickly and with a smile. We will definitely return here

This is a great restaurant. It's a Dutch restaurant that serves very good food. It has a great selection of craft beer. I had the fish of the day that was Cod. It was very good. This place is casual dress but it is definitely a 5 star restaurant.
